If you were hoping to try some authentic Chinese dog cuisine while in Beijing for the Olympics, you’re out of luck if you eat at the officially designated Olympic restaurants.
The Chinese government has asked the sanctioned restaurants to strike dog off their menus.

According to the report, dog is eaten by some Chinese for its purported health-giving qualities.
