Ruby Rose Quits Twitter After Trolls Accuse Her Of Not Actually Being A Lesbian... WTF?!

Ruby Rose just said goodbye to Twitter… maybe forever!

The Australian actress, who stars in this weekend’s new film release The Meg, deactivated her account and pulled off public comments from her Instagram account on Saturday, following a strong social media backlash against her being cast as Batwoman in The CW‘s Arrowverse.

Trolls commented quite a bit about her not being the right fit for Batwoman, with many focusing on the fact that she wasn’t “gay enough” to play the part — and it appears that is what sent Rose out over the edge and off of Twitter.

Before deleting her account, Ruby said this to the trolls in a series of tweets (below):

“Where on Earth did ‘Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can’t be Batwoman’ come from – has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read. I came out at 12? And have for the past 5 years had to deal with ‘she’s too gay’ how do y’all flip it like that? I didn’t change. I wish we would all support each other and our journeys.”

Amen!!!

She then signed off by saying (below):

“[Taking a] break from Twitter to focus all my energy on my next 2 projects. If you need me, I’ll be on my Bat Phone.”

Ha!!

And just like that, her account disappeared, as well as the ability to comment on her IG page.

What do U think, Perezcious readers?! Did she make a good decision??

Social media can be a brutal place for celebrities…
