Game of Thrones always manages to out-gore itself — and the final season is no exception!
Sophie Turner told fans to get excited for a season that’s “bloodier” than all of its predecessors, teasing in an interview with Gold Derby:
“It’s Game Of Thrones so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally tortuous than all the years before.”
We bloody hope so! After all, the Red Wedding feels like a light appetizer at this point.

But the upcoming season isn’t just blood and games. The actress said fans will see characters banding together like never before, continuing:
“I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people to fight the impending doom. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right.”
And that impending doom could put one unlikely character on the battlefield: Sansa Stark!

The 22-year-old revealed that her on screen counterpart is embracing her role as a “warrior,” explaining:
“I always saw something of a warrior in Sansa that I don’t think other people really saw. I always had the feeling that she was learning and adapting and at some point or another it was going to manifest itself somehow. And she manifested it into being a warrior. It felt really satisfying when it happened, and I’m really happy where this story-line for her has ended up.”
Hmm… maybe she means a political warrior? Or will we actually see Sansa tear up some White Walkers with her very own Needle?
Either way, blood will be shed!
