This is so sad.
The Sopranos star Frank Albanese, who played Tony Soprano’s uncle Pat Blundetto, has passed away at the age of 84.
According to his friend Eddie Canlon, Albanese died on Monday in Staten Island, N.Y. after losing his battle to metastatic prostate cancer.

The actor, who famously appeared in Martin Scorsese‘s Goodfellas, started out as a heavyweight prizefighter who trained under famous boxer Rocky Graziano.
After scar tissue developed on Albanese’s brain, Graziano helped him score his first acting gig in 1968’s The Brotherhood. The accomplished actor also appeared in Dead Presidents and As the World Turns.
Our hearts go out to Albanese’s family and friends at this trying time.
