
Two weeks before the film even hits theaters, Twilight shows have already sold out.
According to Fandango, Twilight is accounting for two-thirds of all ticket sales and more than 100 premiere screenings have already sold out. This bodes well for the teen vampire love story and its burgeoning franchise.
The established James Bond franchise can’t keep up. Quantum Solace is doing well overseas, but here in the States, with its premiere only 8 days away, the new 007 accounts for only 6% of Fandango sales.
It might even reflect a change in movie audiences, with most of Twilight’s audience mostly comprised of teenage girls, as oppose to the young male demographic studios usually target with films such a Quantum Solace.
