Victoria Justice Reveals She Suffers From An Autoimmune Disorder -- Details HERE

The actress has Hashimoto's, which affects her thyroid gland.
Victoria Justice is ready to talk about her recent health struggle.
In the November issue of Health magazine, the brunette beauty revealed that she suffers from a medical condition that affects her autoimmune system.
She explained:

“A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, which is a thyroid autoimmune disorder.”

That sounds awful.

It turns out, the disease results in an underactive thyroid gland, and can also disrupt your metabolism. Some of the symptoms include weight change and acne.
The 22-year-old said she had difficulty coming to terms with the breakouts she was getting:

“All my life I’ve always had great skin, so it was really devastating.”

She also commented that her body seemed to fluctuate fairly drastically:

“Also, at first, I was losing a lot of weight, then I went on tour and I started gaining weight, and it was the most I’d ever gained in my life. I was, like, 115 pounds. Then when I filmed a movie last summer, I actually went under 100 pounds.”

While all of the physical side-effects were upsetting, the former Nickelodeon star said her loved ones really helped her cope:

“At the end of the day, I had the support of my family and friends. I knew that the people around me had my back. Now I really empathize with people who have issues with their skin, because it can get you down.”

The actress admits she still has Hashimoto’s, but is not taking any medication because she’s “back to normal.”
In order to try and maintain a healthy lifestyle, Victoria shares she’s actually grown quite fond of exercising, despite disliking it at a very young age:

“To be honest, I used to hate working out, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that it gives me so much more energy, and it just makes me feel so much better.”

But what is the Eye Candy alum’s go-to session? Believe it or not, it’s twerking class. She confessed:

“I’m not kidding. It’s actually a really great workout. After 10 minutes of twerking, your thighs and your butt feel it right away. But it’s so much fun. You feel free. It’s like, ‘Who cares? I’m twerking!'”

We’re just so glad she’s happy, healthy, and seems to be doing better since her diagnosis!
