If given a choice, we’d assume most kids would choose NOT to go to the dentist.
But one 12-year-old boy in France decided he’d take some action and actually run away so he wouldn’t have to go!
We feel like this kind of story normally ends with the kid getting returned home and his parents giving him a stern talking to.
But he was picked up by the police first! And that’s when he made his second bad decision of the day… he lied and made up a story about being kidnapped.
He said he was kidnapped and gave the cops a description of a fake suspect:
“European looking, aged in his thirties, of muscular build with a height of around 1.70 and a vertical scar on his right cheek.”
After giving an even more generic description of the suspect’s clothing (a black shirt and light jeans) the police began their investigation.
A whole month later, the cops finally found surveillance footage that proved the kid’s story just didn’t make sense.
After confronting him, he admitted that he made it all up because he was afraid of the dentist.
We bet as punishment, they made him go to the dentist to have teeth drilled for fun, no Novocaine! Jk! LOLz! That’d be awful.
We hope this kid learned their lesson though! Don’t cry wolf!
