This is just horrifying…
According to FOX 2 Detroit and multiple other outlets, a 13-year-old girl in Taylor, Michigan, is facing several charges — including 1st-degree premeditated murder, felony murder, and 1st-degree child abuse — after allegedly stabbing her 7-year-old sister to death over the weekend. The identities of those involved were not released. As for what happened, the details are truly shocking, Perezcious readers…

The outlet reported the two girls’ parents left them at home at around 11:15 a.m., with the 13-year-old babysitting her younger sibling. While alone, an argument broke out between the sisters. Over what? Detective Zachary DiGiacomo told Fox 2 the fight “stemmed from a note that was placed in the bathroom” about “flushing the toilet.” There was a scuffle in the kitchen in which the 7-year-old knocked over a trash can — and the two siblings went their separate ways.
But the fight didn’t end there. Things escalated to a horrific level. Following the argument, police claimed, the older sibling waited until the 7-year-old went to the bathroom again — and stabbed her several times with a butcher knife.
Even more shocking, Digiacomo explained when that “was not getting the job done,” the teen went into the laundry room and grabbed her mom’s much bigger self-defense knife. It sounds much less like a crime of passion, with the teen waiting for her sister to go to the bathroom AND changing weapons. Hence the premeditated murder charge, we guess.
OMG…
Per FOX 2 Detroit, after the brutal attack, the 13-year-old then called her dad and 911, confessing to stabbing her sister. The Taylor Police Department responded to reports of a possible stabbing at around 1:00 p.m. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, DiGiacomo said they found the young girl in the bathroom with “over 10 stab wounds ranging from the abdomen, to the head, to the neck.” Jeez. He added:
“All I can say is, it’s shocking, and it’s very tragic.”
The 7-year-old was taken to a local hospital, but it was too late. She later died from her injuries. So heartbreaking.
Per DiGiacomo, the parents told police the teenager was never a problem at home or at school, which was why this terrible incident left them stunned. DiGiacomo shared that the parents said the girls only had “normal sibling arguments” and nothing more… until now:
“Growing up as kids, you argue with your siblings all the time, but it doesn’t lead to this.”
As we mentioned, the teen is facing murder charges. DiGiacomo said of her:
“She was very calm and just showed no emotion.”
Whoa…
Despite the situation, the 13-year-old will not be tried as an adult and instead will remain in the juvenile system in the hopes she can be rehabilitated over the next seven years. According to WXYZ, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy explained:
“The State would have seven years to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate her until her mandatory release at age 21. Hopefully, then, she would not be a danger to others. While this is a difficult decision, given these facts, it is the right thing to do in this case. There is absolutely no doubt that the facts in this case are horrific. It is beyond disturbing that the alleged person responsible for the stabbing death of her seven-year-old sister is thirteen years old.”
