Wow, there sure have been an insane amount of recalls over the past couple years!
The latest one is highly disturbing. According to a U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) alert issued on Tuesday, around 167,639 pounds of raw beef, pork and goat are being recalled with the highest warning possible.

All because… hang on to your toilet seats for this… they were distributed WITHOUT federal inspection! And not only that, they reportedly had false USDA labels on them.
WTF…
To put that amount into perspective, that’s approximately 83.8 tons of meat — about enough for 668,000 quarter-pound burger patties or the entire annual meat consumption of about 750 average Americans. And it all got distributed with the purpose of nationwide retail and restaurant use.
Again, WTF…
This is a Class 1 recall. That’s reserved for the nastiest kind of food poisoning potential, “where there is a reasonable probability that use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.” Holy s**t, literally.
The alert says, in part:
“Star Meat Delivery Inc., located in Lucama, N.C., is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, bearing labels with a false USDA mark of inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. As more information becomes available, FSIS may update the product list and labels with additional items.
Any product bearing the false establishment number “EST. 1363” should be considered misbranded and unsafe to eat.
The raw pork, beef, and goat items were produced on various dates prior to September 22, 2026. The products were vacuum-sealed and packed into cardboard boxes for shipment; individual consumer packages may not bear this labeling, as retail stores may have applied their own stickers with pricing and safe handling instructions.”
The warning further explains:
“The products subject to recall bear false marks of inspection with establishment number “EST. 1363,” which does not have a federal grant of inspection. These items were shipped to A&D Foods, a distributor in Georgia, for further distribution to retail and restaurant locations nationwide.”
They note “the problem was discovered during FSIS surveillance activities.”
FSIS also states it’s “concerned” that the meat “may be in the refrigerators or freezers of consumers, restaurants, or retailers.” Per reports, the recall includes both fresh and frozen meat.

Luckily, as of this writing, there are currently no confirmed reports of illnesses linked to the meat, but this is a very fresh and active story. FSIS even indicates the situation could evolve as they say it’s possible they may add more items to the recall list “as more information becomes available.” They also encourage “anyone concerned about an illness or injury” to “contact a healthcare provider.”
Stay safe out there, friends. It’s almost like those stronger regulations, safety committees, and larger inspection crews that used to be around were protecting us or something…
