
A good time was had by all on Black Friday, especially retailers.
Between in-store and internet sales on the Friday following Thanksgiving, sales were up as much as 25% compared to last year’s dismal holiday season.
Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren said over 7,000 early bird shoppers lined up outside the department store in Herald Square on Friday morning, up 40% from 2009.
Disney also proved to be a big winner, boasting internet sales on the 26th was their “biggest day in history”.
Dayum.
Online transaction site PayPal also reported a 25% increase in sales on Thursday and Friday, mostly from “gadgets and toys”.
Sounds like there’s going to be a lot of happy kids this year!
