21 Savage Detained By ICE In Atlanta This Weekend, Being Prepared For 'Possible Removal From The U.S.'

21 Savage Detained Immigration Arrested

Rapper 21 Savage was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in Atlanta this weekend ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, according to TMZ.
Now, he’s reportedly being prepared for “possible removal from the U.S.” as ICE officials claims he’s actually from the U.K. and has been staying in the United States illegally ever since his visa expired.

21 Savage, real name Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, apparently first entered the U.S. legally in 2005, but he allegedly stayed past his visa expiration date and was reportedly in the country illegally today when ICE picked him up.
He’s now apparently being held for removal proceedings, which could turn into a big deal not only since he might be in America illegally, but because he’s also a felon. He was first convicted on drug charges back in 2014.
His attorney Dina LaPolt spoke to TMZ (below):

“We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in the country — especially in Atlanta, Georgia and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.”

Wow.
We’ll keep you updated on whatever may come out of this…
