50 Cent's Money In Trouble - Facing Copyright Lawsuit!

It seems like every other second we are writing about some artist being accused of stealing another person’s music! What’s up with that?!

An up-and-coming rapper out of Atlanta is suing 50 Cent, alleging that Fiddy had no claim to his I Get Money track as he purchased it from producer Apex before he recorded it. The rapper, named Young Caliber, filed the copyright infringement lawsuit this morning, and is seeking some serious damages from both Fiddy and the proudcer as well as Interscope Records and its subsidiares. Young’s lawyer released a statement about the case this morning, saying:

“The misappropriation of copyright-protected material is an endemic problem in the music business, and particularly in the genre of hip-hop/rap. This is one such case. Our client was granted exclusive rights to the ‘I Get Money’ instrumental and was unceremoniously cut out of the loop when the defendants realized they had a huge hit on their hands.”

Yikes! If he’s got proof he bought the song, he’s going to be a very rich man soon!

You better get your money together, Fiddy. You’re going to need a damn good lawyer.
