First it was the birds, now it’s the fish!
What’s going on in Arkansas?
On top of the thousands of birds that fell dead out of the sky on New Year’s Eve, 83,000 drum fish were found belly up along a 20 mile stretch in the Arkansas river.
Officials say the fish and bird deaths are unrelated, but could be linked to the freakish weather that ended in Arkansas this week, which included thunderstorms and tornadoes.
Something smells fishy. We think it might be all the dead fish.
We hope whatever killed those fish doesn’t affect any other organism swimming or drinking from those waters.
If you live in the area, we’d recommend drinking bottled water until officials get to the bottom of this mystery.
