The UK has just released a list of people banned from entering their country “who promote hatred, terrorist violence or serious criminal activity.”
On the list, which was just made public for the first time, are terrorists, skinheads, and Ku Klux Klan leaders. But – notably – also on the list is ultra-conservative radio host Michael Savage.
The douche is well known for being a homophobe. Last month he event went on another tirade blaming gays and lesbians for pretty much all that’s wrong in society. And, last year he famously attacked autistic children and their families on his radio show.
Savage, whose real name is Michael Alan Weiner and is one of the founders of the Rockstar Energy Drink, is one of 22 people on the list blocked from entering for “fostering extremism or hate.”
But, surprisingly, he told his radio audience (we’re not sure why he still even has a show) that he was thinking of suing British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith for defamation!
Savage said, “To link me up with skinheads who are killing people in Russia, to put me in league with Hamas murderers who kill people on buses is defamation.”
However, attorneys say it’ll be difficult for Savage to bring a defamation suit against the country since the list was issued with the authority of the British government.
And we don’t blame them either. No one wants an a-hole promoting hate against others entering their country.
