Conan O’Brien‘s new TBS show is hoping to get NBC’s late-night rate from advertisers, potentially making it the first cable show to be on par with broadcast TV advertising.
One media buyer revealed that TBS is asking for rates that are 20 to 25 percent higher than the typical rates for late-night. “It’s insanity,” the buyer said. “He’s a high priced property they clearly overpaid for.”
We have a feeling advertisers may bite though — Conan’s popularity is really soaring!
