While being interviewed by The Mirror, Prince discussed the future of the internet.
Considering he has banned his music on iTunes and YouTube, it should not come as a surprise that Prince is giving away his new album 20TEN to readers of The Mirror on CD.
The singer said:
“You must come and listen to the album. I hope you like it. It’s great that it will be free to readers of your newspaper. I really believe in finding new ways to distribute my music.
The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it.
The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.”
Everything Prince says is true. The internet is over! Ha.
