Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are slated to have one of the most talked-about weddings of all time! You’d think people would be happy for them… right??
Well, according to Rob Shuter‘s SubStack Naughty But Nice, an insider claims quite the opposite for a noticeable number of cranky New Yorkers! The fact that Tay and Trav are suspected to be using Madison Square Garden as their wedding venue in NYC isn’t sitting right with some residents for this reason, according to the source. They said:
“New Yorkers already spend enough time sitting in traffic. The reaction is, ‘Isn’t Madison Square Garden big enough? Now you need the streets too?'”

ICYMI, this is in response to a permit being filed to shut down the streets near MSG from July second through midday on July fourth. The insider continued:
“People are trying to get home from work, catch trains, or leave the city for the July Fourth weekend. Nobody wants to hear that their commute could be disrupted because two very rich people are throwing a wedding.”
Ouch!
We mean, it’s very understandable to be frustrated. But people are filing permits to shut down streets in the Big Apple all the time! From music video shoots, to filming some of your fav TV shows… It’s nothing new!
Relating this situation to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez‘s big Italy wedding, the source said:
“After Venice, you’d think celebrities would understand that people don’t like feeling their city has been turned into a private party. That’s exactly what this risks looking like.”
What do U think, Perezcious readers? Are people overreacting here, or is this a genuine issue? Sound OFF (below).
