Jelly Roll may seem like the breadwinner on the outside, but it was Bunnie Xo who funded the now-exes lifestyle at the start of their romance!
Speaking to Radar Online on Wednesday, Bunnie revealed she helped fund the country musician’s career when he first got started — through her sex work! She said:
“I was turning tricks to pay our bills. I literally went on tour with him and was seeing clients just to fund our life at the time.”

She hit back at rumors claiming she had a lot of money when they first got together in 2015:
“I had sugar daddies at the time that were paying for all of this. We were two kids who literally had nothing… We were still in the streets. We were making money as it came.”
And it wasn’t coming in fast! She recalled there only being 20 people at some of Jelly’s early shows! Bunnie added:
“And it was crazy because within the first three years of us being together, the crowd started doubling.”
And now he’s the massively successful musician he is today! And yet, their love wasn’t enough to last them through every phase of life since Jelly just filed for divorce. Some reports have claimed the Dumb Blonde podcaster’s desire to get back into her NSFW line of work was one reason he pulled the plug — because that the singer is leaning into his faith more, so her career doesn’t mesh with his reputation. If so, OUCH! Her sex work was fine when it was building his career, but a problem now that he’s successful?? S**tty!
That’s not the only thing that’s weighed on them recently, though. Bunnie said the relationship began to struggle in the last year and a half as she went through an IVF journey to have kids, which was “one of the loneliest, darkest journeys.” She suffered multiple miscarriages and lost several embryos along the way. That kind of loss is hard on so many marriages. She reflected:
“It completely wrecked me. It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically… I became a shell of the person I was because I’m doing [IVF].”
AW! We’re SO sorry to hear that!
The couple “stopped communicating” during the process. She added:
“I think that it’s safe for me to say that I always loved my husband a little bit more than he loved me. I was like always protecting him and always making sure he was okay and like always chasing him, and I literally was the glue that held us together.”
Damn. That’s a brutal realization!
We’re sorry about how things have ended — though it’s important to remember these two are still moving forward with plans to have a child together, so they’re clearly on good terms despite the breakup. We just hope her sex work isn’t the reason for the split, because that would suck given the history!
