Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo didn’t take their legal teams’ advice on one matter in their divorce!
When the former sex worker broke her silence weeks after the country music star filed to end their decade-long marriage in May, she shockingly confirmed they are still having a kid together. Those plans reportedly haven’t changed, not even after their lawyers warned them against following through with them during the divorce process.
As we previously reported, news broke last week that Bunnie and Jelly had already finalized their divorce. Most of the details of their settlement had been kept under wraps at the time, except for the fact that they divided several assets, including an aircraft, multiple cars, homes, and intellectual properties, between them. Jelly also agreed to pay Bunnie an undisclosed amount following the breakup. And don’t expect either of them to trash talk the other! They signed an agreement prohibiting each other from talking smack about one another or discussing private matters publicly. Now, we’re learning more about what went on behind the scenes of their divorce settlement — specifically about the topic of children!

Page Six reported that Jelly and Bunnie’s marital dissolution agreement (MDA), filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, on Friday, revealed that the exes received “separate” advice from their attorneys about having more kids after the split. The pair acknowledge that they were informed “there may be consequences pertaining to this Agreement with respect to their genetic materials, due to evolving technology and case law; as well as the ‘interim category’ of interest afforded to said genetic materials.” Plus, Bunnie and Jelly recognized that their lawyers “are not experts with regard to genetic and reproductive rights.” And they had been “directed and advised to obtain independent advice from qualified expert counsel in genetics and reproductive law prior to signing this Agreement.”
But did they didn’t listen to the advice? No. The MDA stated Jelly and Bunnie “specifically” chose not to consult with more specialized lawyers on the matter. Whether the decision will come back to bite them, we’ll see. It sounds like they could be moving forward with the baby plans no matter what, though.
Elsewhere in the divorce, the court documents revealed Bunnie and Jelly revoked and canceled “any prior permission” given to each other or their teams to use passwords to access the other’s accounts and records.
Let’s hope that if Bunnie and Jelly follow through with having children, things don’t get messy! They’ve managed to keep the divorce somewhat amicable so far, and it would be a shame if things changed, especially when a kid is involved! Reactions, Perezcious readers?
