Courtney Stodden is thankful for Jason Alexander‘s generous apology donation.

Jason ended up apologizing “for any harm or distress” he caused Courtney, who has become an advocate against legal child marriage in the United States after she got married to 51-year-old Doug Hutchinson at only 16. While grateful for the apology, she asked to put his money where his mouth is by supporting anti-child marriage laws and organizations. And the actor followed through! Sources revealed to TMZ that Jason donated $15,000 to Unchained At Last, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the legal practice of child marriage in the country. His rep confirmed the donation.
Now Courtney is expressing her gratitude for Jason’s actions. She wrote on Instagram on Friday:
“I was grateful to learn Jason Alexander sent a beautiful gift to Unchained at Last. I want to sincerely thank him for choosing to turn words into action. Accountability isn’t about public punishment—it’s about taking meaningful steps that can help create change.”
Exactly! Courtney then expressed her hope that Jason inspired others to join in the fight against child marriages, saying:
“My hope has always been bigger than my own story. If difficult conversations can lead to real support for organizations protecting children and ending child marriage, then something positive can come from something deeply painful. I hope this becomes the standard. When harm is acknowledged, meaningful action has the power to help others. That’s how real change begins. If Jason’s actions inspired you, I hope you’ll consider making a donation to Unchained At Last. We are working to end child marriage and protect vulnerable children across the United States. Don’t just witness accountability—be part of it. Every donation helps protect the next child.”
