Kim Kardashian might be falling fast for Lewis Hamilton, but the rest of her family isn’t being won over so easily!
As the model and F1 driver lean into their romance, Lewis has been getting to know her kids, but he still has a long way to go when it comes to fitting into the wider family. A source shared insight on the couple with Star on Tuesday:
“As hot as he and Kim are for each other, Lewis is still little more than a ‘friend of the family’ when it comes to the rest of the Kardashians.”

Kim’s sisters and mom Kris Jenner “still see this phase of the relationship as a trial period” and are “all testing how well Lewis fits in with the family dynamic.”
Fair. We mean, he hasn’t even been in the picture that long! And so, despite “all of Lewis’ success” on and off the track, “he still has to prove that he can fit in as an eventual stepdad to Kim’s kids.” But the athlete is not dismayed by the test:
“Despite his undeniably dangerous, death-defying day job, Lewis has a calm, cool personality, especially compared to some of Kim’s exes. He’s not an unhinged adrenaline junkie, not even close! He clearly lives by the motto ‘never let them see you sweat.’”
Sooo, how’s it going?! The source added:
“So far, it’s going well, but that’s strictly a function of how much time Lewis is putting in to impress everybody. He’s trying to show that he’s a solid guy [and that] he’s here to stay and isn’t going anywhere.”
Nice!
It helps that he’s already getting along well with Kim and Kanye West‘s kids, North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7. Seems like only a matter of time until the rest of the family thinks of Lewis as one of their own!
