Megan Moroney sadly had to cancel her concert in Denver after it had already begun.
While in Colorado for her Cloud 9 Tour Tuesday night, the country crooner delighted her fans with three songs onstage. But after the third song, she looked unwell, and had a tremble in her voice when she told fans what was going on. As she donned a sparkly silver bodysuit along with her iconic cowgirl boots in white, the 28-year-old said she was “extremely sick”.
A fan-captured video caught the moment where she explained:
“This is obviously the last thing that I ever wanted to do but I am obviously extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better and… I just can’t play this show tonight.”
She started choking up as she continued:
“I will make it up to you guys, I absolutely promise I’ll be back… But I want to give you guys the show you deserve and I’m probably gonna go cry in my dressing room now.”
The audience cheered for her and told her they loved her, but she was visibly sobbing as she called the whole situation her “worst nightmare”:
“I promise I’ll make it up to you guys like, 10 times and I love you and I’m really sorry.”
Poor Megan!

Megan Moroney cancels her Denver show tonight after just two songs due to illness.
“That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make… I’m typing this as I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts me so much to disappoint you all.

Later, on Instagram, the Tennessee Orange singer wrote a letter to her fans. She didn’t reveal what kind of medical issue she was dealing with, but she sent her love to concertgoers:
“Denver – That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make & I’m so sorry to cancel the show tonight. I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you tonight.”
She continued, revealing she was very upset over the situation:
“I’m typing this as I’m quite literally bawling my eyes out in my dressing room & it hurts so much to disappoint you all.”
Aww… She got a rescheduled date very quickly, though. She told fans:
“I will be back August 27 and all tickets purchased for tonight’s show will be honored for the new date. If you can’t make the rescheduled date refunds are available at the point of purchase. I’ve never had to do this and I’m truly so sorry.”

Such a disappointment, but health always comes first. We’re glad Megan decided to step back and put herself first.
Her fans seem to agree, too, as they lifted her up on social media:
“It happens.. get better and come back.”
“Whatever’s going on, I hope she’s OK.”
“Aww bless her heart”
“Megan, you did the right thing. Rest up and come back stronger. We love you and will be there Aug 27.”
“Wishing her speedy recovery.”
“Hope she rests up, crying through that had to be rough”
We’re sending love and healing Megan’s way! We hope she makes a speedy recovery.
