Nolan Wells' Parents Slam 'Sick, Evil People' Attacking Them As They Seek Answers About What Happened To Their Son!

No parent should ever have to bury their child. No parent should have to face horrifying attacks while trying to get answers amid their grief over such a tragedy, too. But sadly, this is what Nolan Wells‘ parents are experiencing right now.

As we previously reported, the 18-year-old was reported missing on July 4 after he never returned home from a boating trip on Horn Island in Mississippi. He was unfortunately found dead in the water two days later. Local authorities believe Nolan may have drowned since the area is known for its dangerous rip currents, and there were no apparent signs of foul play. Plus, his friends claimed the teen stayed on Horn Island to hang out with a girl after they left to return to the mainland because the boat started sinking.

But the family has questions. They feel it’s too soon to say there’s no foul play involved here and launched their own investigation, noting racism could’ve been involved. Nolan was a Black student seemingly hanging out with an all-white friend group on the trip. Speaking of, those friends and others have different stories about what happened that day. The pals insist Nolan chose to stay on Horn Island with a girl instead of going back with them. However, his parents, Christine and Elmore Wonsley, say that is not normal behavior for their son, mainly because he didn’t have his phone, which the friends claim he left behind to protect it from the ocean.

The family commissioned an independent autopsy, which didn’t find any severe injuries on his body. But at the time, it could not determine his cause of death or rule out foul play without further investigation. The official autopsy hasn’t been released yet, and the official and independent investigations are still ongoing.

With all those unanswered questions and conflicting stories, can you blame the parents’ actions? We certainly don’t! Any grieving parent would want to know exactly what happened to their child for their own closure and so they can get justice if needed! And yet Christine and Elmore are being cruelly attacked! WTF?!

In a new interview with NewsNation host Chris Cuomo on Thursday, the parents, along with their lawyer Ben Crump, slammed the “sick” and “evil” people criticizing them for asking questions about Nolan’s death! Elmore said:

“We can’t grieve the way we need to because we’re being disrespected, we’re being called all kind of racist, bad parents — we were not raised like and we did not raise our children like that, so we just want the truth. Any parent would want that, any father would want that, any mother.”

Crump noted that Christina has even been “attacked at her job.” How awful. He added in a press conference that same day:

“Christine has been a nurse for years, and she hasn’t ever gotten negative reviews. But since she has been advocating to find out what happened to her 18-year-old son after he was washed up dead on Horn Island, sick people have been going on her company’s website giving her negative reviews. Can you all imagine anything worse than that? They are just sick, evil people who would attack this mother and this father for simply saying, ‘We want to know what happened to our child.’ Don’t worry Christine, we are standing with you.”

Christine went on to say that she and her family won’t stop until they find out how Nolan died, no matter what anyone says:

“Please understand that all of these distractions, these other questions, attacks that people have sent our way, just know, we will not be distracted. We are ready to do whatever we need to do as his parents to continue advocating for him because Nolan is not here. He is not here to speak for himself. He is not here to tell us what happened. So again, we will not rest until we get answers. And if you know something, you need to let us know. Please do not be afraid.”

Have a heart and some compassion, folks. These are two heartbroken and devastated parents just trying to understand what happened to their son. Think about that before you attack them online next time. Watch Christine and Elmore’s interview (below):
