Troubling old comments of Jared Leto’s have resurfaced.
Following the wave of new sexual misconduct allegations against the Suicide Squad actor, a comment he allegedly once made about high school girls has been dug up. In BBC’s bombshell documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, which released on Wednesday, footage from a 2013 30 Seconds to Mars concert was highlighted showcasing the embattled frontman interacting with a teen fan.
Per the BBC exposé, during the band’s concert at Ex’Pression College in Emeryville, California at the time, Jared brought up a young girl on stage and told her, “Give me a hug, first of all.” He then went on to ask where she was from, and when the girl said LA, the Tron: Ares actor allegedly quoted an infamous Matthew McConaughey line from 1993’s Dazed and Confused:
“That’s what I like about high school girls. I keep getting older, they just stay the same age. Alright, alright, alright.”
The eyebrow-raising comment takes on a particularly searing tone in the wake of all the current allegations against Jared — many of which from women who claim to have been teens and minors at the time of their alleged incidents with the actor.

In response, Jared vehemently denied all allegations in a statement to TMZ:
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
