This is quite the comparison…
Controversial UFC star Sean Strickland, who has built a reputation as one of the fighting sport’s loudest right-wing voices, is now taking aim at President Donald Trump in a way that has left plenty of people from all sides of the political aisle doing a MAJOR double take.
See, according to comments Strickland made this week on the Shawn Ryan Show, the fighter compared the atmosphere at Trump rallies to the rise of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in Germany in the 1930s. No, seriously.

During the show, the right-wing Strickland bluntly said:
“So, like, when you’re at a Trump rally, you’re like, ‘Oh, I could definitely see how Hitler happened.’”
Whoa. That is quite the thing to say.
And just in case anyone thought he was exaggerating, the pro fighter immediately doubled down, saying:
“I’m not f**king joking to you, dude. When you go to a Trump rally, it makes you question the sanity of everybody.”
Wow…
Like we said, the outspoken fighter is a conservative — so for him to say this, it’s just… wow. FYI, Strickland is no stranger to controversy. He has faced repeated criticism this year over racist, homophobic, and misogynistic remarks.
And he has also been feuding with Trump! He recently claimed that he wasn’t invited to UFC’s Freedom 250 event at the White House because he’d become critical of the president.

Oh, and Strickland didn’t stop there. During the interview, he also accused Trump of abandoning the very people who helped put him in office, saying:
“It’s like the people that have voted … that rallied around you, you actively just f**king spit in their f**king face for what, dude?”
He also described what he said was a disturbing rally experience after Trump discussed punishing people for burning the American flag. Recalling the crowd’s reaction, Strickland claimed:
“Everybody else is just f**king full send, ‘yeah f**k him. Throw him in jail.’ Like, if Trump said go grab a gun and go do anything, they would f**king do it. They would f**king do it.”
After all that, show host Shawn Ryan responded simply:
“I know. It’s a cult.”
Talk about a dramatic political breakup!
