Halle Berry 'Deeply Saddened' By Ex's Court Filing & Child Abuse Allegations -- Read Her Lawyer's Statement

Halle Berry responds Olivier Martinez allegations

Halle Berry‘s attorney just released a scathing statement against Olivier Martinez.

In response to the Oscar winner’s ex-husband filing for a temporary restraining order against her amid child abuse allegations, attorney Marina Beck tells TMZ:

“To say this filing is entirely meritless and deliberately misleading would be an understatement.”

So right off the bat we’ve got a strong denial here. She continues, arguing Olivier is the one with the problem:

“There is voluminous evidence, including numerous judicial rulings, that Olivier Martinez repeatedly violated court orders and interfered with necessary therapeutic and educational interventions to the detriment of his and Halle Berry’s minor son Maceo – misconduct for which Mr. Martinez has already been legally sanctioned.”

She then reveals Halle has been “deeply saddened” by all of this but promises that won’t stop her from fighting:

“In a way, today’s filing is not entirely unexpected from an individual with a well-documented history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior. Fortunately, Halle is used to this kind of outrageous conduct from Mr. Martinez and, while she is deeply saddened, she will not allow it to deter her from fighting for Maceo’s best interests and providing him with the love and support he needs.”

As we reported, Halle stands accused of choking her 12-year-old son Maceo after an alleged argument occurred over a VR game.

Olivier claims Maceo wanted him to pick him up after the incident and says Maceo is “traumatized” and needs space from his mother. He filed for a temporary restraining order and is now seeking sole custody.

The court has reportedly granted Olivier’s request, ordering Halle to stay 100 yards away from him. She is, however, still allowed to see her son under court-ordered visitation terms two days a week and every other weekend. This will remain in effect until at least October 16, the date of their next hearing.
