Don’t be fooled by imitators – THIS is the real thing!
Yesterday, the latest special issue coin that will commemorate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton from the Royal Mint was revealed. Pretty huh?
It ought to be. It had to go through a lot of people before it it went into circulation. First, the bride- and groom-to-be had to okay it. Then, it was sent to George Osbourne, the Chancellor, to make sure it met his standards. But of course, her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, whose visage appears on the flip side, had the final say on the finished product.
The coin will sell for nearly 10 pounds, or, roughly, $16, to commemorate the wedding of the decade.
Pricey, but we’re sure they’ll go quickly regardless. Once in a lifetime event and all that jazz.
