SVU's Mariska Hargitay Here To Stay

SVU loyalists need not worry!

Embarking on its thirteenth season, Law & Order: SVU will introduce two new characters played by Kelli Giddish and Danny Pino.

Pino is the replacement for exiting star Christopher Meloni, and while Kelli Giddish will play the new girl, Mariska Hargitay isn’t going anywhere!

…but up, that is. The star’s character will receive a promotion in the upcoming season, and is promised to appear in every episode.

Her role will switch from leading to supporting, but this is all good news for Hargitay.

No, really. She actually requested a reduced role so she could spend more quality time with her newly adopted baby girl!

Aww! Don’t worry little one, momma’s almost done interrogating rapists!
