Sentenced! Casey Anthony Is Going To Jail!

It might not be much, but it’s at lease some justice served.

Though she wasn’t found guilty of murdering her 2-year-old child, Casey Anthony was convicted earlier this week on four counts of lying to police officials during the investigation. Though her legal team attempted to have the convictions reduced to a single count, the judge stayed true to the jury’s findings and sentenced her on each of the four counts of misleading law enforcement.

Casey was sentenced to one year for each of the four counts, to be served consecutively. The court will deduct the time she’s already been in jail from her sentence and she’ll also most certainly get time off for good behavior. The judge added that Casey will be fined $1,000 for each count, as well as be charged with any of the costs of the investigation into Caylee Anthony’s disappearance that were wasted from the lies she told officials.

Did anyone else think she didn’t look like she was particularly upset when the sentencing came down? She probably suspects her lawyer can get her off of this charge to.
