Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum just held a press conference to update the press of the situation. At this time, officers have yet to find the reported gunman, but the three kids that first identified the man were found to be credible. Officers are still searching the campus, but have not found any sign yet.
As we earlier reported, a gunman was reportedly spotted on the campus of Virginia Tech this morning around 9:37 A.M. The white male was allegedly spotted by three students attending camp at the school. The kids said they saw him possibly holding a handgun covered by a cloth of some kind and walking quickly in the direction of the volleyball courts. Shortly after, the school was put on lockdown as local police arrived to search for the gunman.
The alert and lockdown is still in affect and there are still thankfully no reports of anyone being hurt.
We hope everyone stays safe!
