Madonna's Former Neighbor Moving Forward With Lawsuit!

We had almost forgotten about this!

Nearly two years ago, Madonna’s neighbor Karen George filed a lawsuit against her, claiming that she transformed her apartment into a rehearsal space, and that the entire building had to put up with her “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls” daily.

Now, a judge has given Ms. George the O-K to move forward with legal action against Madge.

Madonna requested to have the suit dismissed, but Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Louis York denied her request yesterday.

Here’s what York had to say about it:

“One of the most basic functions of a residence is to provide shelter from the outside world for its occupants to think, interact and relax in peace. If the noise caused by Madonna’s activities prevented (George) from being able to use her apartment for these purposes, then the warrant of habitability has been breached.”

We’re sure Madonna is absolutely THRILLED with this news, especially since she doesn’t even live in the building anymore.

Hopefully she’s keeping the tunes down in her new place…
