Move over, hydrangeas! It’s Italian politicos who want to take it up with her now!
In an interview at the Venice Film Festival, Madonna gave her opinion on Italian politics, specifically Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
The living legend tried to beat around the bush, but eventually gave way to her real feelings, stating:
What do I think about Berlusconi? I wouldn’t like to talk about it now. But The Economist already said everything, didn’t it? [He is] unsuited to govern Italy.
The Economist headline she was referring to was, The Man Who Screwed An Entire Country.
She said she would express her full opinion when she was done promoting her film W.E., but the damage had already been done for his supporters.
The comments outraged his following. They are now accusing her of being “offensive” and “communist.”
LOL! Wow! Why does everything turn around to communism???
Whatever, she’s a superstar personality. She’s always had opinions, this is nothing new.
Besides, her opinion seems to be in agreement with the majority of the country anyways!!!
