Is this show actually going to air, truTV? We’ve been burnt before with failed karaoke-themed reality shows…
Jackass star/comedian Steve-O has just signed on to truTV’s new reality series Killer Karaoke, based partly on the international TV show Sing If You Can.
In Killer Karaoke, contests will “break out in song in the midst of extreme, hilarious and sometimes skin-crawling situations.” Sounds like a silly, fun time!
Eight episodes of the series has been ordered thus far to launch in early 2012.
Here’s what truTV executive vp and general manager Marc Juris had to say about the new series:
“Killer Karaoke is a music competition show as only truTV would do it ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ hilarious, outrageous and wild.”
And here’s what Steve-O had to say about it:
“I’m in love with the concept of this show and overjoyed to be a part of it. I cannot wait to get started.”
