R.I.P. Qwikster! Netflix Decides To Keep Their Name The Same

Because one failing company is better than two!
Obviously, a lot is going on over at Netflix that the head honchos are trying to sort out. Sales are down, contracts are up and people are digging the convenience of RedBox more and more. The company had hoped that by separating their services and creating a new name for themselves, they might get around people’s new animosity towards them.
Yeah, not so much.
The company announced this morning that they are abandoning their “break-up plan” and have decided to keep its DVD-by-mail and online streaming services together under one name and one Web site. Thus Qwikster, the proposed name for the new branch of the company that was going to handle DVD-by-mail services exclusively, has folded before it even started. A spokesperson for Netflix explained:

“We underestimated the appeal of the single web site and a single service. We greatly underestimated it.”

Yawn!
Look, talk to us again when you guys have gotten all your shiz figured out so we know what movies/TV shows we can enjoy on your service. If it’s still as good as it is today, than great. If not, we don’t care what your name is, we’re still switching to Hulu or Blockbuster or hell, just watching stuff on Demand. Too much drama with you people!
