Wow, Kevin! You just made it A LOT harder for people to hate on this movie…
In a totally unexpected move, Kevin Bacon went to see the Footloose remake on Sunday, and he tweeted the following about it:
“F-Loose! Just saw it. Congrats to Craig, Kenny, Julianne, Dennis,Andie, Miles, and the rest of the cast. U guys rocked it!”
In response, the new Ren actor Kenny Wormald tweeted the following:
“Thank you!!! @kevinbacon – your my favorite Ren.”
And here’s what F-Loose remake actress Julianne Hough tweeted:
“82 and sunny in LA just when I thought it couldn’t get any better! Thank you so much!”
Kevin must have REALLY liked the movie, because he wrote the following tweet earlier on that same day:
“Just saw a TV ad for FLoose. Marketing a remake by putting down the orig? A bit lame dont ya think?”
We certainly agree, but we’re glad that everything worked out! Nice to hear that Kevin feels they did justice to the original film.
