Hopefully these numbers don’t drop, ESPECIALLY since Starz has already committed themselves to a second season…
Last month, Starz made the bold move of granting Kelsey Grammer’s new show Boss a second season EVEN before the show premiered.
Now, the ratings are in, and Boss debuted with a total of 1.7 million viewers for its multiple airings over the weekend.
Not bad, but definitely a step down from Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, which debuted to 2.8 million viewers, and even Torchwood: Miracle Day, which landed 2 million viewers for its opening weekend.
As long as the ratings don’t go down, these numbers could warrant a second season…but if they go down a lot, those Starz execs might start regretting inflating Kelsey’s ego by giving him two seasons upfront!
