Redbox + Verizon = tough competition for Netflix!
Verizon and Redbox are reportedly partnering up to launch their own streaming movie and television service.
Starting next year on May 28th, both companies will offer customers the opportunity to buy credits that they can use to purchase and rent videos online OR at the Redbox kiosks.
The project is “a top priority” for Coinstar, the company behind Redbox, although sources say the service, which aims to reach 85 million households in America, won├óΓé¼Γäót seek to beat rivals in offering the newest releases.
In which case, Netflix might still have a chance.
