Natalie Portman is about to go all Black Swan on somebody’s a$$!!!
She wanted to press pause on her booming career so she could play mommy. But when she had the chance to help Patty Jenkins get a job directing Thor 2, Natalie was on board to act for this specific project.
Everything was going smoothly, until…
Out of the blue, Marvel reportedly fired the Monster director without warning!
Patty was going to be the first female director of a superhero tentpole, but nooOOooOO, sh*t just had to hit the fan…or so it seems!
While the official statement is “an amicable split,” many whispering sources say Marvel washed their hands of Patty because they feared she wouldn’t be able to get the film out by it’s November 2013 release. Also, they have been said to be unconvinced she could move fast enough to make the decisive choices needed.
Patty herself has said there are no hard feelings and she wishes to work with Marvel in the future. Classy, gurl.
No matter what happened, the gossip is this: Natalie doesn’t want to work on Thor 2 and is only doing so because she’s contractually obligated. Snap, snap!
