After four nights in the hospital requiring emergency surgery due to a hear ailment, we’re positive that Prince Philip is glad to be home!!
The 90 year old left the hospital in good spirits too, smiling and waving at people outside. He even walked from his ward instead of using the elevator or wheelchair! According to sources:
“On departure, Prince Philip thanked the staff at Papworth for the excellent care he has received during his stay. He is very much looking forward to rejoining his family.”
Unfortunately it was required that a stent be surgically inserted after he complained of chest pains on the 23rd. He was airlifted right away to the hospital.
Despite missing almost all of the holiday activities from the gift-giving to the pheasant hunt, at least he had some family visitors during his stay!
