After all, what’s a Vacation movie without Chevy Chase?!
As previously reported, collaborators John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are planning a National Lampoon’s Vacation reboot and Ed Helms is close to locking up the role of an adult Rusty Griswold.
Now, the co-writers and co-directors would like Rusty’s parents to get in on the mix too!
Chevy and Beverly D’Angelo played husband and wife in all four Vacation flicks and the writers would love to see the two characters return.
Daley and Goldstein said the following on their hopes for a family reunion:
We don’t know who will be playing [Rusty], but we intend to have a part for Clark Griswold. Chevy, we’re hoping he’ll be down to come back — and Beverly D’Angelo as well.
