America lost a legend yesterday. Dick Clark, the longtime host of American Bandstand and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, passed away after a massive heart attack at the age of 82.
As expected, fans and celebrities alike were instantly mourning his passing. To honor one of the most famous television personalities of ALL TIME, people in Bronson, Mississippi gathered outside Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater last night for a candlelight vigil.
Hundreds of fans visited the site throughout the day and placed either flowers, pictures, or candles to remember the man who has been entertaining their families since 1957. Sources say that the theater also dedicated the evening’s show to his life and legacy.
In Hollywood, Dick’s star on the Walk of Fame has also been gathering a crowd who wish to pay their last respects.
Clearly, this guy was LOVED by this entire country and will be missed dearly. Rest in peace, Dick!
