A&E Checks Into Bates Motel

Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof got mixed reviews for their last series LOST‘s ending. So now Cuse is trying his hand at beginnings.
Cuse and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights) will executive produce a prequel series to Alfred Hitchcock‘s Psycho. The series, entitled Bates Motel, will show how young Norman Bates went so wrong.
A&E picked up the first season of the series without even filming a pilot. One executive reportedly did want to put the show through its paces in the pilot process. That executive hasn’t been seen or heard from…
No word yet on who will portray the cuckoo killer or his malevolent mom, but casting has already begun.
