Has there been a country in Europe that Madonna has been to during her MDNA tour that HASN’T gotten upset with her in the process?!
Fresh off the heels of her Paris show controversy, Catholic and veterans’ groups in Poland are protesting the pop legend, as her show there tonight falls on the anniversary of the 1994 Warsaw Uprising, the city’s failed revolt against Nazi occupation!
Many are upset because of the imagery used throughout the show, and have started online campaigns urging people not to attend, 50,000 whom have already signed, as well as deface billboards promoting the show all over Warsaw!
However, concert organizers have offered to show a clip about the Uprising before the performance, as spokesperson Ania Pietrzak explains:
“It is an important moment in Polish history, so we have decided to remind people of that moment.”
Well, we’re happy to hear that they’ve agreed to pay tribute to an obviously very important moment in Polish history!
We’re sure Madge means no disrespect!
What do U think? Should the concert be canceled or allowed to go on?
