We guess impressing the other comics was more important to him than showing some tact for a lot of hurt, suffering people in America right now!
Although Comedy Central’s Roast of Roseanne apparently brought some touching and genuinely HIGHlarious moments for the comedienne, there was also a GLARING negative from Jeffrey Ross, who will be censored during the network’s airing for cracking a tasteless joke directed at Seth Green, to whom he compared Colorado shooter James Holmes!
In “jest’, Jeff said:
├óΓé¼┼ôSeth, congratulations. This is actually a great night for you … you haven├óΓé¼Γäót gotten this much attention since you shot all those people in Aurora. … I├óΓé¼Γäóm kidding. You are not like James Holmes. At least he did something in a movie theater that people remember!├óΓé¼┬¥
AND he was dressed like Joe Paterno, accompanied by two topless boys in football helmets.
Yeah. Insult, meet injury!
Apparently, Ross later admitted to going way over the line, but justified it as:
“That is what Roasts are about.”
Actually, we think A LOT of other comedians were able to display “what Roasts are about” there this weekend without having not only touch upon National tragedies, but glaringly and callously mock them!
Just saying!
