Matt Lauer‘s role on the Today show may be getting reduced, but his pay sure isn’t!
In fact, an NBC insider says the morning host won’t even take a salary cut if it means saving jobs! The source says:
“TODAY show staffers are convinced there will be significant job losses because of the cost-cutting measures that are being done across the board by Comcast, which now owns a majority stake in NBC. The crew believes that some of the potential cuts could be avoided if Matt agreed to a pay cut.”
Can just one man’s salary really make a difference? How much can the morning show host make anyway? The insider says:
“Matt’s salary is a whopping $30 million dollars a year, and it├óΓé¼Γäós seriously crippling the show. But he has made it pretty clear that he won├óΓé¼Γäót take a pay decrease, so instead the staffers are in line for the chop.”
WHAT million dollars?? 30 WHAT dollars?? 30 million WHAT??
If he really makes that much and won’t take a pay cut to save jobs, we don’t know what to do! Except maybe hope he gets visited by three ghosts this Christmas! LOLz!
