Jenni Rivera and six members of her entourage were killed in a horrific plane crash last month and relatives of the deceased are now demanding justice.
Four of the victims’ families jointly filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Jenni’s company and the owners of the decrepit jet that went down.
The legal documents maintain the company used poor judgement in picking crew and that the owners of the plane were negligent allowing a 43-year-old plane in disrepair to be used.
The statement said:
“Neither pilot was licensed to operate this aircraft at the time and altitude it was flying. We cast a wide net to find out exactly who is responsible and it may be that they’re not. We have named Rivera Enterprises, who likely arranged the charter of this plane, in hindsight a very bad decision.”
Ugh — it’s all so sad!! We hope these grieving families find the closure they so desperately deserve.
Nothing can bring Jenni or the others back, but hopefully the lawsuit will prevent similar tragedy from happening in the future.
