Sofia Vergara Is Looking ¡Caliente!

Colombian hottie Sofia Vergara graces the special 18th anniversary issue of Ocean Drive magazine looking fiery hot in her red Roberto Cavalli gown.

The Modern Family star talks to the mag about her early life, her career, and struggling with being diagnosed with thyroid cancer almost 10 years ago.

Of her Latin background:
├óΓé¼┼ôOne of the things I├óΓé¼Γäóm very proud of is the fact that I am representing Latin culture with an accent so strong that I don├óΓé¼Γäót understand half the things I say myself. But it├óΓé¼Γäós good that there can be a loud Latina woman acting crazy on American television. America is ready for more Latin culture mixed in with its own.”

On her current Modern Family role:
“I never would have dreamed I’d be on such an amazing show. We knew when we started filming that it was going to be special. I met with the creators, and instantly we knew we’d make Gloria loud and proud of her culture. And I’m happy she’s a little crazy too. There aren’t enough characters with her sabor on TV.”

How she got into acting:
├óΓé¼┼ôI never saw myself as an actress. I still don├óΓé¼Γäót. But back in Colombia I just wanted to study and work to support my son. It was just by chance that I got the opportunity to model, and everything just happened after that.”

On her cancer scare:
“It was a tough thing for me, but it made me much stronger. I have family and I’m a mother, and I knew I could get through it.”
