Beastie Boy Beats Cancer And Gets Serious

Band member Adam Yauch‘s cancer diagnosis put poop and fart jokes in perspective for the Beastie Boys.

Planning to release a distinctly immature record to follow up their 2004 album To The 5 Boroughs, the Beasties have re-assessed their position.

According to band member Mike D:

“Serious illness does frame fart jokes differently. But at the same time, more than ever, we want to enjoy ourselves and make people happy.”

So will the band take a more serious tone or are we in store for a fun, comedic, fart and poop filled album?

Only time will tell as Adam is on the road to recovery and working with the band to on their Hot Sauce Committee, Part Two album, scheduled for release next spring.
