Tracy Morgan Kept Kidney Transplant A Secret From His Family

And his family isn’t happy about it.
When Tracy Morgan needed a kidney transplant in December, he went to his ex-girlfriend for help instead of his family.
His brother, James Morgan, was hurt by Tracy’s decision:

“I’ve been with him at his home, and he didn’t let me know anything. It was his choice, but he could have got me checked to see if I was compatible. If he would have asked, of course I would have done it. He’s my brother. Maybe he didn’t want to put me through the pain. I don’t know what his thinking was.”

James said that Tracy never actually told him about it — he had to find out from the media:

“I just found out on the Internet last month that he had the operation. I really didn’t believe it. I thought it was just a stunt or something. I thought maybe that’s a misprint. But he called my mother and confirmed it.”

While his family is sad that Tracy didn’t go to them, they’re thankful that his ex-girlfriend gave him her kidney and saved his life.
Said Tracy’s mom:

“God bless her, that’s all I can say about that. She must really have a genuine love for him, even though they’re not together anymore.”

While we think Tracy should have told his family, we’re glad he’s OK and that he has people who love him enough to help him out!
