This is alarming!
1 in 3 college students in Berlin, Germany — where prostitution is legal — would consider sex work as a means to finance their education!
Yuck!
A study surveyed students in Paris, Kiev, and the German capital because student prostitution had been often reported but little was known about its relationship to education policy.
The results of the study are pretty shocking. 4% of of the 3,200 Berlin students surveyed said they had already done some form of sex work, which includes prostitution, erotic dancing and internet pornography.
Researchers found that students considering or engaging in the sex industry were motivated by “the high hourly wages” and heavy workloads, explaining:
“It’s possible that because educational reforms have increased student workloads, they have less time to earn money. Coupled with higher student fees, in this instance, leads students into prostitution.”
So sad!
DO NOT put your body and your life on the line for money! There is always another option!
